Seven Hills Winery
Seven Hills Winery is one of the original wineries in the Walla Walla Valley. Since 1988, it has focused on Bordeaux varietal reds and has bottled more vineyard-designate Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots from the Walla Walla AVA than any other winery. The Seven Hills Winery tasting room is conveniently located in downtown Walla Walla, in the picturesque and historic White Crawford building. Drop in during their regular hours. El Corazon
If you are looking for a winery that is a breed apart, check out El Corazon in Walla Walla. One Google review sums it up best, “Fun, sassy, laid back and unpretentious. Fantastic wine in a place with an even better sense of humor.” This is the type of winery you go to if you are looking for a laid-back atmosphere. Mansion Creek Cellars
Mansion Creek Cellars is a great stop to try Spanish-style varietals, and it’s probably the only place in Walla Walla where you can. Three Rivers Winery
If you want to go to a wine tasting at a vineyard, Three Rivers Winery is a good choice. Their tasting room overlooks the vineyards and Mill Creek with views of Whitman Mission and the Blue Mountains, it’s a spectacular setting for a tasting. Visitors can tour their state-of-the-art barrel room and cellar, play giant Jenga or cornhole on the lawn, and have a picnic. They have options for individuals and groups including tours, tastings and lunch. Enchanted Cellars
Enchanted Cellars is a small boutique winery, creating around 800 cases a year from grapes in the Walla Walla and Columbia Valleys. They specialize in hand-crafted red and white Bordeaux. Enchanted Cellars is the only Washington state winery chosen by the US Navy to design a label representing the USN 787 Wa. Submarine. Their tasting room is on their own vineyard, where they stay busy creating estate wines. Tranche Cellars is a stunning winery to visit – the vineyard climbs as high as 1,265 feet for breathtaking views of the Walla Walla Valley. They focus on “expressive, aromatic and beautifully defined wines,” and create reds, roses and whites. They have estate wines, including their flagship reds – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The Tranche Cellars tasting room has a modern look, with stone, Art Deco lighting and concrete.
