The intricate sport of golf is mentioned as early as the 1450s in the world’s history, but it wasn’t until 1744 that the rules of the game were finally written by the Honorable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. These rules became known as the Thirteen Articles, and over the next 100 years, those 13 rules went on to be adopted by more than 30 clubs. From there, the traction of the game continued, going on to be the celebrated and televised sport that it is today, enjoyed by millions worldwide. And whether it be played for fame or fun, there are plenty of golf courses in the Tri-Cities community where people can get their game on.
